Celebrate the gorgeous month of Bluebell May with Wild & Rust!

The Sun is warming, the birds are chirping and tweeting, the bluebells are blooming, and the garden is growing and looking lush. The name ‘May’ is the modern-day English adaption of the Latin word Maius, which has origins going back to the time of the ancient Greeks.

They named the month of May (or Maius) after the Greek goddess of growth. How appropriate that here in the UK May for us marks the start of Spring. This year more so than ever the significant importance of this is reflected in the easing of lockdown restrictions as we hopefully start to come to life again as a nation following a tough and dark pandemic riddled winter.

There are plenty of reasons to love the month of May. It signals the promise of summer, gardens and window sills are bursting with beautiful pops of bright colours, and you can finally start to enjoy al fresco dining and outdoor entertaining with family, friends and loved ones. Whether you are still shielding or venturing out a little further now that Covid restrictions are easing to enjoy the stunning displays of bluebells on woodland walks, there is something for everyone to celebrate in the month of May.

At Wild & Rust May means all things Bluebell!

It is about family walks in the woods and making time to just be in the moment. Being kind to ourselves has never felt this good and with the amazing natural and organic bath and body products we are able to source sustainably and responsibly, there has never been a better time to indulge guilt free!

This year we will be celebrating May as a month of selfcare, wellbeing and being kind to ourselves with our beautiful Fruits of Nature Bluebell Range.

Our Fruits of Nature Vegan friendly range is lovingly made from natural and sustainably sourced ingredients capturing the true essence of nature with its incredibly popular bath and body products. We just love love love the indulgent milky Bluebell bath essence naturally fragranced with delicate English Bluebells and perfectly blended with pure ingredients to cleanse, hydrate and soothe your skin. We adore the pretty blooms suspended in the oil which also makes them a really attractive gift too!

Right now, coming out of lockdown, in the lead-up to summer, as we get ready to face the world more in-person than we have been in a year, we are absolutely focusing on our facial skin too. But no matter what the time of year, skin needs moisture to look its glowiest, feel its silkiest, and function optimally. A balanced nutritious diet, plenty of water, restful sleep, and moving your body are always crucial—and the right selfcare routine can make an enormous difference, too.

Organic CBD Face Serum is the new go to for Wild & Rust!

To help us look our best, we absolutely love (and it has become a daily go to) Organic CBD Face Serum. We all need one of these luxurious Organic CBD Face Serums in the cupboard #fact. 15th May 2021 is International Day of Families

Personally, having become a mother in 2019, May brings with it more reason to celebrate. This year we will also be celebrating International Day of Families on 15th May 2021. How appropriate that is should fall in May when the meaning of Bluebell flowers are thought to in general be understood to symbolize gratitude, humility, everlasting love, and constancy. Perfect sentiment reflected in such a small beautiful and delicate flower, so what better way for us to celebrate our little family than by spending as much time together walking and exploring all the beautiful bluebell trails and woodland walks around Oxfordshire.
