This beautiful late 19th Century laundry basket is full of character. It would make a great log store, use it to pack away towels, books and toys or it could be re purposed as a lovely rustic coffee table. Gosling Son & Spriggs were basket makers based in East London who produced woven baskets from the late 19th Cntury until they closed their doors in 1965, their baskets of this size are hard to find. Sadly the leather straps have worn, but the hardwood wicker has stood the test of time as have the hardwood runners.
